What Your Favourite Colour Says About YOU!

I came across an interesting site today called  The Perfect Palette which hosts numerous pre-prepared colour palettes which I think would be a useful aid to all the Real and Second Life creators, photographers, builders and artists who follow my blog. It also has a quick guide to your real personality based on your favourite colour… could be dangerous…! See the link at the end of the blog.

This site has a host of colour palettes which may help to get your creative juices flowing or just to help with finishing off some work.

I use palettes like these all the time and especially if I am ‘stuck’ creatively. Just seeing all those fabulous tones and contrasts together kicks off some creative thinking. Adobe also do an online palette which is great and which has a wider range of colour sets and although it looks a little bit technical it maybe worth a look if you haven’t come across it before.

Use these palettes for creating your initial design plan or putting the final touches to or re-colouring photos, creating textures, designing interiors etc. They are slightly but not wholly weighted towards the ‘weddingy, flighty, girly, hen party’ end of the spectrum but there is a mixture of sets so really they can be used for anything.

And finally – try and choose your favourite colours without reading the personality descriptions (a bit hard I know) but more fun. Anyway here are mine ‘sunshine’, ‘blossom’, ‘strawberry’ and ‘gravel’…. basically the main colour tones on my blog.

Having said that I’m not sure now if sharing is always a good thing but at least I am more ‘in touch’ with my inner self if feeling slightly exposed!

Hope you find the palettes and the ‘in depth’ analysis useful : )

      1. I am a chocolate, lake, persimmon and sunshine. 😀 I didn’t read the descriptions tho, just picked my fave colors. ermmm hope it doesn’t say I am a neurotic, obsessive, cereal killer. 😉

  1. They sound like perfect summer choices…sitting by the lake eating chocolate ice-cream, streams of melting chocolate drop onto my persimmon coloured shorts whilst the sun shines down. I had a little look at your colour descriptions (hope you don’t mind) and well, neurotic wasn’t on there : )
